We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our remote team and support our mission.

Position Overview:The Legal Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team by handling a variety of administrative and legal tasks. This position is open exclusively to candidates from outside Canada who are eager to contribute to our clients' success and work in a dynamic, international environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and filing of immigration applications and supporting documents.
• Conduct research on immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Maintain and organize client files and records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on their cases.
• Draft and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
• Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and consultations.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submission of applications and documents.
• Assist in the preparation of client consultations and follow-up on pending cases.
• Provide general administrative support to the legal team as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role, preferably in immigration law.
• Strong understanding of Canadian immigration laws and procedures is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Suite and legal research tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote setting.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fluency in additional languages is an asset.
• Experience working with international clients.
• Familiarity with remote work tools and software (e.g., Zoom, ClickUp, Clio).
